About Your MasterCard

Your MasterCard offers you a unique and competitive credit card, with many money-saving features and great benefits.

Silver or Gold Card option

You have the choice of the Silver or Gold MasterCard - whichever best suits your needs. The Gold option includes all the standard features, plus extra benefits such as higher credit limits and free overseas travel insurance#.

Interest Free Period

You may receive up to 55 days interest free from the date of your transactions, on purchases of goods, services and bill payments with your MasterCard.

Easy Access

Your MasterCard provides instant access to your funds via a worldwide ATM and EFTPOS network for your convenience. You can also access account information via internet and telephone banking. All you need is your Card, Card number and your ATM PIN or TPIN for easy access 24 hours a day, 7days a week, no matter where you are in the world.

Chip Credit Cards

Secure chip technology is fast becoming the global standard in the effort to minimise card fraud. The new technology uses a microchip embedded in your credit card to securely store your card's data and is designed to make your everyday transactions more secure.

A chip credit card provides greater security than a card with just a magnetic stripe as the microchip makes it more difficult to fraudulently copy the details of your card.

Reward MasterCard cardholders can earn Card Services Reward points with every retail purchase. You can earn 1 point for every dollar spent and Card Services Reward† points never expire on active accounts.

Cashback: Use your Reward points to reduce the outstanding balance on your account or to pay your annual fee.

More Rewards options
Learn more about the Card Services Rewards program available to you by clicking on ‘Rewards’ on left hand side of page or you can log-in to Card Services with your username and password and select the Account Services tab then click on ‘Rewards’.

Also available is the Gold Rewards MasterCard with Card Services Qantas Rewards*. This option allows you to earn Qantas Frequent Points.

Cash Advances

Your MasterCard is accepted at over 22 million establishments worldwide, which means you should never have any problems accessing funds. You can withdraw:

  • Up to $1,000 a day at ATMs within Australia and overseas
  • Up to $500 every 24 hours at Australia Post branches
  • Up to $30,000 per transaction over the counter at any financial institution displaying the MasterCard symbol, depending on your available Credit Limit

Credit Limit Increase

After having a MasterCard for 9 months you can request an increase in your Credit Limit - giving you more buying power!

Please note, a minimum of 9 months from account opening date and 6 months from last increase are required before an increase will be considered.

To organise a Credit Limit Increase, ensure you are signed on to your account, and click on the Card Services Tab. Alternatively you may call Card Services on 1300 135 538 or simply complete and fax back this application form(PDF 59Kb) to 1300 301 304. If you don’t have a fax, please mail your completed application to Unsecured Credit Acceptances, Reply Paid 3811, SYDNEY NSW 1005.

Balance Transfer

With a Balance Transfer, you can consolidate your debts by transferring your outstanding balances with other credit card providers on to your MasterCard for one easy to manage Account.

To organise a Balance Transfer, ensure you are signed on to your account, and click on the Card Services Tab. Gold Rewards MasterCard cardholders have access to complimentary Purchase Cover# and International Travel Insurance#. Simply pay for purchases or flights on your Gold Rewards MasterCard.

Gold Low Rate MasterCard cardholders have access to complimentary Purchase Cover#, Interstate Flight Inconvenience insurance# and International Travel insurance#. Simply pay for purchases or flights on your Gold Low Rate MasterCard.

Purchase Cover#

Complimentary Purchase Cover insurance# is available for Silver & Gold MasterCard cardholders and provides Complimentary Purchase Cover insurance# on any new items that are lost, stolen or damaged within three months of purchase using your Silver or Gold MasterCard.

Fraudshield

If we detect any irregular transactions on your account we’ll call you immediately, even if you’re overseas.

If you need to check or update your contact details please contact Card Services on 1300 135 538 or you can log into online banking and select the ‘Account Services’ tab, then click on ‘My Details’ and ‘Change my Contact Details’.

Additional Cards

Share the benefits with up to 4 additional credit cards (please contact Card Services on 1300 135 538 for additional card fees that may apply).

Rewards cardholders can maximise their Reward points from additional cardholders.

To request an additional card, please complete the Additional Cardholder Form and you can either fax back to 1300 301 304 or post to Card Services, Reply Paid 1625, NSW 2001.
